Assorted Apulian sweets 180 g
This selection includes three different types of traditional Apulian almond sweets.
Almonds "atterrate": delicious Apulian almonds covered with chocolate.
Stuffed wafers: they are known in Apulian dialect as "ostia chjène" and are a typical dessert of the Municipality of Monte Sant' Angelo (FG), on the Gargano. They consist of two waffles stuffed with a filling of caramelized almonds with sugar and honey.
Cartellate almonds and honey: they are a homemade pastry-based sweet.
Ingredients
Almonds atterrate: almonds, chocolate, flour, lemon peel, orange peel, sugar, honey, cinnamon red wine, lard.
Cartellate: Flour "00", almonds (25%), honey (20%), sugar, white wine, lard, cinnamon. Fried in vegetable oil.
Stuffed wafers: water, flour 00, almonds, sugar, honey, lemon and orange peel.
