The Italian term "pomodoro" (literally "golden apple") can be traced back to the yellow color of the first fruits appeared in Europe, at the end of the sixteenth century. After a long search, Calemone managed to select a variety of Yellow Tomato characterized by bright yellow fruits rich in β-carotene with a very sweet and aromatic taste and high consistency.
The freshly picked yellow tomato is washed, seared and pureed; the result is a yellow ochre purée that tastes sweet and aromatic. It is ideal to accompany fish dishes and delicate recipes with pasta, sauces, creams and velvety.

Calemone’s story is intimately entwined with that of the place it was born: the Natural Reserve of Torre Guaceto, an unspoiled paradise, where century-old olive groves alternate with cereal and vegetable crops, a land so marvellous, it cannot but yield exquisite fruit to those who can appreciate quality and authenticity.
